How to overhaul the driving and driven bevel gears of the main reducer?
The driving and driven bevel gears of the main reducer are an important pair of gears in the transmission of the drive axle. The transmission precision is required to be high, so the assembly should be adjusted and maintained according to the specified requirements.
Check the contents of the final drive gear pair as follows.
1) Spot etching occurs on the working surface of the gear. If black spots appear locally, if the spot distribution area does not exceed 30% of the tooth surface, it can continue to be used.
2) Main. When the driven gear has severe fatigue pitting and local spalling, if the damaged part does not exceed 1/3 of the tooth height and 1/10 of the tooth length, and the number of damaged teeth: the driving gear does not exceed 2 (and not adjacent), the number of driven gears does not exceed 4, and the number of adjacent teeth does not exceed 2, which can continue to be used after wear and tear. If the above requirements are exceeded, new parts should be replaced in pairs.
3) If the thread of the shaft end of the driving gear shaft is damaged by no more than 2 teeth, it can continue to be used. If there are more than 2 teeth, it is necessary to weld and reprocess the thread, or reduce the diameter of the thread by one level, and then match the nut.
4) If the journal wear of the drive shaft exceeds 0.04mm, repair the journal by brush plating.
5) If the front end spline of the driving gear shaft wears more than 0.20mm, it can be equipped with a new flange to reduce the gap, or it can be reprocessed after surfacing.
6) The main. In the direction of tooth thickness, the surface wear of the driven gear exceeds 0.40mm. Sometimes, a new gear needs to be replaced.
7) If a single tooth is partially fractured and not adjacent, grinding after surfacing is allowed.
8) When the fastening bolt holes between the driven gear and the driven gear shaft flange or the differential housing are worn due to looseness, the bolt holes can be expanded and hinged, and equipped with enlarged special bolts; if the rivets loose and the hole wears out, you will need to rivet one by one after the hinge hole
