Cars are generally powered by a rear-drive, driven manually or automatically by a longitudinally mounted engine. The power transmitted by the drive shaft drives the rotational movement of the rear wheels through the bias of the pinion shaft relative to the bevel gear (hypoid gear). 80% of the helical bevel gears of passenger cars use grinding teeth, and the other 20% use grinding teeth.
